The creator of Cardano, Charles Hoskinson, has acknowledged his participation in a mission to track down an intergalactic asteroid that collided with Earth in 2014. The meteor’s alien origin was confirmed by the US Department of Defense in 2019. The Galileo Project, a group located at Harvard University and directed by professor Avi Loeb and his student Amir Siraj, is conducting the search.

In March 2023, Hoskinson committed $1.5 million to the Galileo Project. He gave the researchers on the coast of Papua New Guinea notice of his visit on June 16 by tweeting updates. He noted that they have not yet started utilizing the sluice sled in their search and that there is still considerable land to cover.

Avi Loeb, a different expedition participant, writes daily updates on the search’s progress on his blog. On June 16th, Loeb wrote about the finding of a manganese-platinum wire with a distinctive abundance pattern that was different from generally accessible commercial goods. The expedition’s scientists, who fervently believe in the possibility of extraterrestrial life, hypothesize that the meteor may be a piece of an unidentified flying object.

Charles Hoskinson is renowned for funding innovative and intriguing ventures that expand human understanding. He disclosed his investment in a project to revive the woolly mammoth in March 2022, hoping to combine blockchain technology with the de-extinction profession.

In the meanwhile, the value of ADA, the native cryptocurrency of Cardano, has recently dropped. Data from CoinMarketCap show that during the last week, the token’s value has decreased by around 1.72%. The price of ADA has decreased by 18.9% this month, from roughly $0.3751 on June 1 to about $0.2766 on June 18 of 2023.

Major cryptocurrency exchanges like Binance and Coinbase are now engaged in legal disputes with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which is the cause of the adverse price movement of ADA. Investors’ worries about these regulatory obstacles have prompted some to abandon their interests, including ADA.
